All the data you enter in the *MyFriends* app stays **on your device**. It is not sent to any server or to any third party.

This means that your data cannot be recovered if your device stops working or you lose it. So make sure to regularly export your data with the export function in the app settings and save the file in *iCloud Drive* for example. The exported file can later be imported to recover your data.

The plan is to add *iCloud data sync* in the future, which automatically synchronizes the data between your devices and additionally works as a backup. Apple apps such as *Notes* or *Reminders* use the same *iCloud* functionality to keep your data secure and synced between your devices.
